Directions

1. Clean & Sanitize your work area and all of your packaging materials. It is suggested that you wear gloves, protective clothing, and a hair net while preparing this recipe.

2. In a small bowl, weigh out 68 grams shea butter, 105 grams castor oil, and 17 grams white beeswax.

3. Add the ingredients to a double boiler and melt them. As they are melting, stir periodically.

4. Remove the mixture from the heat. Add about 2 grams of your flavoring. Optionally, you can add stevia to sweeten your lip gloss. Just keep in mind the stevia will simply suspend, it will not dissolve.

5. Pour 30 grams of your mixture into a very small mixing bowl. Add about 1 teaspoon of mica in the color of your choice. Do not use more than 1 teaspoon total per ounce. You can mix the micas to create custom colors. Stir. Using a pipette, add the mixture to your lip balm pots. Repeat this process to color all of your lip gloss.

6. Allow the lip gloss to set up. Place a lip on each jar.
