Directions

Step 1

Clean & Sanitize your work area and all of your packaging materials. It is suggested that you wear gloves, protective clothing, and a hair net while preparing this recipe. Once you use plastic or silicone bowls or utensils come into contact with fragrance oil, they should not be used for food contact ever again

Step 2

First, weigh out 160 grams of distilled water. If your water is not distilled, you will need to prepare your water. First, you will need to weigh out your water. Make sure to include plenty of extra water so that you have at least 160 grams when your water is finished heating as some of it will evaporate during heating. Now, heat the water to at least 185 degrees Fahrenheit. Once the water hits this temperature, hold it there for a minimum of 5 minutes. Remove the water from the heat source and weigh out 20 grams. Add it to a deep mixing bowl. This bowl should be dedicated to soap and cosmetic making and no longer used for food.

Step 3

Next, you want to make sure your water is no hotter than 100 degrees Fahrenheit when working with the multi-bases. If the water is too hot, it can break down ingredients in the base.

Step 4

Once the water is at the proper temperature, weigh out and add 115 grams of the yogurt lotion base and add it to the bowl containing the water. Then, using your hand mixer mix the ingredients together.

Step 5

Finally, we will add the remaining ingredients to your lotion. Use the guide below to scent and color your lotion.  Some fragrance oils will require the use of Vanilla White Color Stabilizer while others will not.  It will depend on the fragrance oil’s vanillin content.  Once you have added the ingredients, once again use your hand mixer to whip the ingredients.  Each fragrance and the Vanilla White should have its own dedicated pipette.

  • Temptation in the Tropics: 2ml fragrance oil and a pinch of Pink Diamond Dazzle Mica
  • Crushing on You: 2ml fragrance oil, 2 ml Vanilla White Color Stabilizer and a pinch of Summer Sunshine Shimmer Mica
