Step 1

It is important to clean and sanitize your work area along with your packaging materials. It is suggested that you wear gloves and protective clothing while preparing this recipe.

Step 2

There are two portions to this recipe. For this layered bath salts recipe, you will need one large and one medium sized mixing bowl. To the first bowl, weigh out 840 grams of Epsom Salt.

Step 3

Then, incorporate 84 grams of SLSA along with 20 grams of the Carnation fragrance oil. Allow the Epsom Salt to absorb the fragrance oil some.

Step 4

After it has absorbed some, add in the colorant. We used 10 drops of each blue and red Da Bomb Liquid Soap Dye. Mix this in until it is evenly dispersed.

Step 5

Then, add 2 tablespoons of the diamond dust mica pigment to the bowl. Stir everything together with a mixing spoon. Set this bowl to the side for now.

Step 6

Next, we can make up the second portion. Weigh 150 grams of the black salt fine ground. Add to it 14 grams of SLSA. Stir the two of these together.

Step 7

Now, add in 2 grams of the Carnation fragrance oil and 1/2 teaspoon diamond dust mica pigment. Mix the ingredients fully together.

Step 8

Finally, you can get your eight ounce jars out. To layer the bath salts, put about 25 grams of the epsom salt portion on the bottom of the jar. Top that with about 15 grams of the black salt portion, and continue layering until everything is used up.
