Balsam

"Amazing! Makes me think of Irish Spring with how it exactly smells like pine and freshness, but the Balsam fragrance oil is so much better. It smells like you're walking through a pine tree forest"

Love this fragrance

"This fragrance is awesome! I use it in soap, wax melts, and beard balms. It behaves perfectly in cp soap. Anything I have in this fragrance is a best seller."

Leigh (5/5)

Lovely Balsam Fragrance

"This balsam fragrance oil works well for my sachets. It has a lovely fragrance and lasts longer than a year. Loved by my customers! Always a popular item at my craft shows."

Sandra (5/5)

Smells like mentol and camphor

"Very disappointed. This does not smell like Balsam at all. I'll try it in soy wax, but will probably sell as Vick's Vapor dupe."

Gorgeous Scent

"I was looking for a very nice pine smell for Christmas. I certainly found it with this scent. If you love woodsy smells, this is perfect. It smells exactly like balsam trees. It holds very strong in cp soap through cure. No morphing or fading after 4 weeks. Performs perfectly with no discoloration. Definitely one of my new staple scents."

Dian V. (5/5)

Eucalyptus?

"I am surprised this fragrance has great reviews. In parasoy wax, the smell of eucalyptus is so strong that I can barely make out any piney smell. It reminds me of the Sinus Relief oil. I planned on using it as a Christmas tree scent, but now I am not using it at all. Bummer!"

Can't Smell This One Sadly

"Had high expectations due to good reviews but sad to say this one is very faint in cold throw and almost non existent for hot, used in joy wax jar candles 1. 5 oz per lb ratio per instructions. . . may be better for soaps than candles from my experience."

Steve O. (1/5)

Nice Xmas scent in cp soap

"Balsam is a very nice scent and did not discolor cp soap. Balsam and Cedar did discolor, so I'd recommend Balsam over Balsam and Cedar."

Michele P. (5/5)

Bracing!

"Smells really good and spicy, just like pine."

Q&A

Is the balsam fragrance oil suitable for use in room sprays? If so, at what percentage?
The IFRA document available on the product page provides the max safe usage limit for each category. Room sprays generally fall under IFRA Category 10B (Aerosols/Sprays) but always review the descriptions to ensure you're referencing the appropriate category for your application.
When looking at the specifics, when it says Phthalates free and Ca Prop, what on earth does the red bubble mean? yes or no? It could go either way. I feel a simple yes or no would be better than a fancy red bubble.
Thank you for your inquiry. The red indicates no for CA Prop 65. We have found that using the red notifies our customers in a quick way to check for this. If you ever have any other questions, please reach out!
