Our CD 20 candle wicks are a great choice if you love making larger candles. These coreless German wicks are pre-cut, pre-waxed and pre-tabbed and are 7 inches long with 20mm round tabs. CD candle wicks are flat braided and made of cotton, with paper threads woven into the cotton. The way they are reinforced helps to create a clean and consistent burn, which is ideal for homemade candle making. They also have higher fragrance loads if you love making scented candles.

"Las mejores mechas!!"

These work great!

"I'm a new candle maker so I've been testing wicks for the past 6 months. These wicks burn so good with pure soy wax. I will be purchasing these wicks from NG from here on out!"

Great wicks BUT TEST

"I have gone through many, many frustrations recently. I had 'the perfect wick' but ran out and I forgot to make note of which one and which size it was. Since then I have been failing every which way. One wick curls, one wick just isn't big enough even in the largest size. . . FINALLY. . . I'm going to do what I wish someone had done for me, which is give specifics. I used Soy 444. I used jelly jars [8oz] and mayo jars [16oz]. . . using this guideline for the wick did me no favors. I ended up using a 20 wick for the 16oz and an 18 for the 8oz. It burns lovely, minimal mushrooming, burns clean to the edge of the candle rather than tunneling like many of the test subjects beforehand. Just test, buy as many samples as you want, but test test test. I've wasted so much money in wicks as well as return candles from failed wicks."

Q&A

Hello. I know quick testing should be done. But when it says for containers with a 5 inch diameter, is that also the estimated melt pool diameter? If my vessel is 5 inches in diameter, could I potentially use only one wick? Thank you.
Hi! Yes, you typically can. However, the recommendations we give are a starting point for testing. Any additive like fragrance oil, color, etc. as well as wax type will come into play. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Have a fabulous day!
