"Purchased this for CP soap. Stellar reviews for CP fragrance retention, so I purchased 2 bottles. I made 90 lbs of CP soap, and maxed out the fragrance load. Four weeks after the cure there was NO SCENT AT ALL. I waited another four weeks, hoping the scent would magically return. NOTHING. To say that I am disappointed is an understatement. All of that time, effort, planning, and money - wasted. It smells great OOB! So, I decided to use this in MP soap. After two weeks, the scent is also gone. Nature's Garden does not place batch numbers on their fragrance oil bottles, so I am going to chalk this up to just receiving two defective bottles? Will not purchase any coffee scents again."

Great STRONG Fragrance

"Behaved well in CP with no acceleration, but it did discolor as described. As many others have said, it is VERY strong and has great scent retention. It also does have a strong chocolate/cocoa scent that mingles well with the coffee fragrance. I love it, but will definitely use only 1% ppo next batch."

Great FO, but stronger chocolate than coffee

"It performed well in CP soap. I can't say for sure if the discoloration stated above is accurate, since I also used brewed coffee in my lye solution. There was some slight acceleration after trace but again, that could be attributed to my additives. It smells great though and the scent retention is STRONG. It smells much stronger after demolding & curing tbh. So you could easily use less than max usage rate. I used 0. 25oz PPO (so slightly less than the 2. 6% IRFA rate) and I will likely use just 0. 5oz TOTAL in my 40 oz batch next time. As others mentioned, it does have a very prominent chocolate scent to it that overwhelms the coffee scent. Still smells amazing though."

Hi! Could you please clarify regarding reed diffusers. As far as I see the limit in IFRA for reed diffusers (liquid in bottle with bamboo sticks) present as not more than 2,6% (cat.10A).....and for Air freshener sprays - not more than 16,9% (cat. 10B). Why? Is it mean that if I put into reed diffuser about 5% (for example) it will be not safety for my respiratory system, correct? And in this time, for 12 category (air delivery system, incense sticks) - no restrictions at all... Thank you in advance!

Hi How is it possible that the usage rate for a leave on product (lotion 0 3%) is higher than for a rinse off product (soap 2,6%)? Thank you

IFRA standards are derived from multiple factors and risk assessments aside from dermal sensitization, including systemic and aggregate exposure as well as potential and likely exposure. PPO usage in soap may also be taken into account. We suggest reviewing the official Guidance for the Use of IFRA Standards document for more information.
