If only it was phthalate-free! :(

"I bought this oil last autumn and made some test candles with it before I realized that it contained phthalates. It's a great scent, the best gingerbread I have found, but it's SO frustrating that it isn't phthalate-free! I am unable to sell this in my candle line due to the phthalate component. I tried gingersnap as a their suggested alternative, but that FO is very different, more like a lemon ginger cookie than a gingerbread. I am still on the hunt for a good phthalate-free gingerbread and have been mixing my own with a few different FO from different suppliers. If NG reformulates this blend or comes up with a similar blend to meet that standard, I would be all over it!"

It's like I made unscented candles and wax melts

"I've been making and selling candles, melts and MP soap for years. This is a first. Smells great when you open the bottle. The scent worked well in MP soap. The candles and wax melts are all throw away. It's like they are unscented. No scent what so ever. Incredibly disappointing and costly."

Wonderful in CP soap!

"I was a bit hesitant to try in CP soap as I did not see NG's soap testing notes completed nor many if any customer reviews. I gave it a whirl (after a very small test batch - no issues at all noted) using the hot transfer method. Even with temperatures quite warm, the FO behaved nicely with no major acceleration, no ricing. Toward the end of pour, I did notice some thickening, but it was manageable and still quite pourable, but then had to start scooping. I believe that if I would a cooler soaping technique, my latter acceleration issues would be minimal. I'm expecting discoloration due to the vanillin content, but so far one day later, it is a creamy beige. I would say the scent retention is medium/good. Not super strong, but a calming, warm. Good enough for me!"
