When you want to make a medium-sized candle, our 7-inch HTP 73 candle wicks are a great choice. These wicks are great for making candles that use soy wax, making them versatile for a wide range of different candle creations. HTP wicks are often called ‘high tension paper’ wicks because they are cotton braided with thin paper fibers intertwined, adding to their structural strength. Our HTP 73 wicks burn hotter than other types of wicks, with less smoking and mushrooming.

Wick Review

"Great. They fit perfect with my tins and the wick was good with my candle wax."

HTP 73 Wicks

"I started making candles back in October as a hobby, spent a good amount of money, time and effort on finding the right wick, wax and vessel. I am here to tell all new chandlers that you MUST test your wicks from the beginning. I purchased almost of the sample wicks from NG, except for zinc ones and have been truly impressed with HTP 73. It burns slow, clean, no black soot, excellent H and C throw. So far so good in my wick testing. Making candles is definitely a science before an art. Best of luck to everyone on their journey."
