"Great solid Red"
"Let me start by saying that I love Nature's Garden and will continue to purchase from them. While I don't necessarily think this is their fault, I do think it needs to be shared. . . The smell of these dyes is so strong!!! When they arrived in the mail, I could smell them through the packaging. I had them stored in my fragrance oil cabinet but the smell made the whole cabinet stink. I put them in a Ziploc bag which did absolutely nothing to mask the smell. It is a horrible mixture of chemicals and mothballs. So gross. I can't even walk into my work studio without the smell of these dyes hanging in the air. In the trash they go. So disappointed. Just be aware, these dyes may work well but you will have to deal with the horrible stench that comes with them."
"Hi I want to tell you about this red it's a true red. I have bought all kinds of red candle dyes in liquid and in the chip form and they seem not to be red . It is ether pink ,light pink or a dark pink or coral not red red. I bought this red and thought why not we already got the blue lets just try it out . This red is a true red . It made my strawberry inbed look like a strawberry dark enough and bright enough I love this red and will buy it again thank you natures garden for a true red."
"Perfect color for wax melts. Very satisfied."
"Excellent choice"
"I've still got splotches of red dye on my face that won't come off 24 hours later after it plopped into the wax and splashed up on my face. It comes out too quickly to use without clogging the wick. I wish they would come up with any other kind of applicator than the one they have now. It's just too hard to use."
"I honestly don't know why most of these reviews say they have a hard time getting red-- I've never had any trouble with this dye! It's also important to keep in mind when working with red dye that, even if it's highly concentrated, red dye is simply not as potent as other dyes so you'll inevitably have to use more than if you used blue."
"Making Mulled Cider candles. Directions for the coloring indicated I should use 6 drops red and 2 brown for 4 pounds of wax. Since I was using only 2 pounds of wax, I used half of the prescribed amount. The color was not as deep as I wanted. Will have to try another batch, using more dye to achieve the color I thought it should be."
"I have not been able to achieve red with this dye, only various shades of pink. I followed the instructions to make red apple wax melts, which is 6 drops of dye per 4 lbs of wax. I was only using 10 ounces of wax, which is not even a full pound, and I used 5 drops of dye. The color came out to be a medium pink color. Definitely not red at all. I have wasted a lot of materials by having my wax melts turn out pink."
"I bought the red dye and it is the best dye ive used up To now. You have to add maybe 10 drops and you get A beautiful red color. I use Soy464 wax. Thank you, Natures garden"
