"Interested in adding it to make melt and pour soap. Do you guys offer a recipe for tumeric soap? I've used your fragrances before and i loved them."

Fabulous Powder

"I've done a lot of research using herbs, spices, botanicals, muds and clays and I created a 26 page document on the skin benefits of A - Z of the above. Turmeric is one; I've purchased many of my powders, including Turmeric, from Nature's Garden. I use it in Ayurvedic scrubs and masks, alone, with other ingredients and with Neem Butter. This is a good quality Turmeric, very very fine, a little bit goes a super long way. I highly recommend this. Thank you NG, please dont stop offering it."

Q&A

How do you mix the turmeric powder for addition to cold process and melt/pour soap? Is it added directly to the oils before adding the lye water (for CP), or do I need to mix it with oil separately first (at what ratio?)?
Hi! I prefer to mix it with my soaping oils prior to emulsifying my soap batter. If you would prefer to add it at trace, you can. When adding it that way you would just simply prepare it by mixing it with a small amount of your soaping oils before you begin creating your soap. There isn't really a ratio because it will depend on the powder itself. You just want it to be smooth and clump free so that it will easily disperse in your soap batter. Let me know if you have any other questions. Have a fabulous day!
