Excellent Musk

"Ordered various samples, I was relieved with this one in that it is a true musk scent. I can tell that there is a vanilla note in it making it sweet, but the scent doesn't skimp on the musk part and comes across to me as far more sensual than culinary."

Did I get a bad bottle?

"Everyone seems to love this but me. I'm looking or a simple vanilla musk to replace a discontinued favorite, but this sure wasn't it. This was horrible. Instead of a clean musk with a smooth vanilla note, it's a murky musk and cakey coconut vanilla in a terrible, perfume-y combination. I couldn't stand it in the bottle and a brave friend tried it, but it didn't change at all from a sticky, loud perfumey scent. The first Natures' Garden scent I've thrown away. Wrapped in several layers of plastic so I couldn't smell it."

Good fragrance

"This is a great fragrance, considering that I'm not a huge fan of musk. In lotion the fragrance takes about an hour to bond with the oils and water, so be careful how much you add. I used 2% and it was a very light scent, so I upped it to 3% and that seemed perfect. An hour later and BAM! It was super strong, like a perfume. I put some on after my morning shower and the next morning it was still going strong! It definitely has lasting power. In cold process soap the musk mellows out a bit and the vanilla comes through beautifully. I used it at. 5oz/lb and the fragrance gets a bit stronger everyday as it's curing. For the first 3 days it discolored to a bright yellow, which was odd but fun. It's slowly going tan now. No ricing, no acceleration, beautiful to work with."
