This fragrance oil by Nature's Garden Crafts is most likely the most popular scent on the market. Also referred to as Japanese Grapefruit, Yuzu is not your ordinary grapefruit scent. Yuzu begins with top notes of mandarin, tangerine, lemon satsuma, and ruby red grapefruit, middle notes of bergamot, and base notes of oakmoss. Yuzu can also be mixed with other tropical notes to create a very complex scent of your own. Your line won't be complete without it!

Yuzu is a shop favorite

"A delicious pink grapefruit sent one of my top Shop sellers behaves beautifully"

Debra S. (5/5)

100% Recommend!!!

"I used this fragrance in cold process soap. It cooperated beautifully. Plenty of time to play and did not discolor. As if that's not enough. . . the fragrance is just out of this world. This is a very popular scent for me."

J. B. (5/5)

refreshing fragrance

"Products using this oil have stable sales"

YUZU

"WOW! IS ALL I CAN SAY TO THIS FANTASTIC F. O ,that I've used for 12 years in my lotions and body mists!!!I will say that it faded in my soaps,so no go there. . I do add some Pink grapefruit for a zing since the oakmoss is a bit much/ heavyish"

Great in CP

"This is a perfect performing FO that does not rice, and slows down trace! Super fluid swirls and great if you have a complicated design. Very strong OOB. Hasn't cured long yet so I don't know how it sticks, but I don't think I'll have a problem. It's a citrus scent that leans toward peachy notes and is very sweet."

Spencer S. (5/5)

Love this fragrance!

"I got a large bottle from a friend, it's my go to scent for soaps, when I want a light, fruity scent. This fragrance isn't overpowering, but It's not weak either. What I love about it, is that it has a great retention, so I don't have to use much, to get the strength that I want. In bath bombs, it's one of my best sellers! I also use it in my palm free, vegan soap and always sell out quickly!"

Nice citrus-y smell!

"I really like this citrus smell. I've used it to make diffuser oil and candles and it has pretty decent throw in both. It's light, bright, and somewhere between orange and grapefruit. (I often like to pair it with another citrus smell like grapefruit to really bring out its notes. )"

Tiff G. (5/5)

Artificial and very strong

"Performed perfectly but I can't bring myself to like the smell. It just smells very artificial to me. Overly sweet and candy-like. I have that issue with all mandarine type scents, so I guess I just don't like the citrus fragrance that's being used in these types of scents. Also to me, it's kind of overbearing after a while (it fills a room). It's not a bad scent, though! Just not like the real thing and not my cup of tea."

Mandarina J. (3/5)

Very Nice

"This was a dead ringer for pink grapefruit. Very nice fragrance. It was a touch light in 444 soy. Better cold throw than hot. I liked it so much am going to try it again in para soy. Nice and refreshing. Looking forward to round two!"

Kc C. (5/5)

Fresh citrus scent

"This slightly reminds me of The Body Shop Satsuma, mixed with Grapefuit and Orange. Adore this, so fresh and uplifting. No petrol smell in my C3 soy wax, I used it at 9% and both hot and cold throw was good."

Q&A

Could this possibly be used in a dryer ball set at high heat?
IFRA Category 12 lists the max safe usage rate for dryer sheets and shows no restrictions. However, we recommend small-batch testing a few drops at a time to ensure fabrics aren't damaged or stained, and consider checking with the dryer manufacturer for usage restrictions.
Hello! I see that we are allowed to use Yuzu FO up to 50% in bar soap according to the IFRA data sheet, but you recommend using it at 5%. Do you believe that using it above 5% in bar soap is harmful in any way?
Hi! When we make our recs, we base it on both IFRA recommendation and the integrity of the finished product. We find going beyond 5% affect the integrity.
