"This has been amazing for me, as someone with sensitive skin. I've used it straight on my winter-dry face, and it works, though I think it should be whipped up for better texture. What I've made with this so far: undiluted test, 2 oz undiluted mixed with 1 mL rose extract and 1/2 mL rose fragrance and100 g with 50 mL distilled water, 3 mL light scent. I think the 2 base to 1 water works better as a summer face cream, and the undiluted is only for extreme dry, so I'll have to play around with ratios. Please don't discontinue this. . . I keep having my products being discontinued, and they are often expensive as well. Drugstore formulations aren't as nice, and they have been getting expensive, too. This is affordable, versatile and has no parabens. Perfect combination."

"I LOVE this base. I follow the instructions for "light cream" and it comes out to a fantastic yogurt-like consistency. I also add some extracts to up the skin-love factor, and about 2% fragrance, depending on the oil. My customers buy this stuff almost as fast as I can make it. Worth every penny and then some! My tip: warm your distilled water to 110⁰ and use an immersion blender to mix! Zero lumps and it doesn't take on a lot of air."

- When using this base, can i supplement the distilled water with lavender hydrosol or aloe Vera juice and if so, would that enhance the end product?
- Hi Lori, we haven't tested with either ingredient. Depending on how much water you are adding and your specific formulation, we'd recommend the hydrosol, as aloe vera would have a higher potential for bacterial growth.
- If adding distilled water per instructions, do you need to add additional preservative?
- No, you do not. This base has enough preservative the final product using the maximum amount of recommended water.
- For the body mist can it also be used in hair?
- Hello! We have not tried this, but we would not recommend using a lotion spray or mist for hair.
- For lotion, add 48 oz. distilled water per 1 lb of cream. Does this mean each pound would make 48 ounces of lotion?
- Hi Nell, because fragrance oils and the ingredients have different weights, there is variance in the amount of the final product, so testing is recommended. You are free to experiment with the ratios to achieve the consistency you desire, but generally, 1 lb Base + 48 oz. water can product around 8x - 8 oz. bottles.
