Reviews

Smells good but accelerates

"I made cp soap with this. It smells really good, but it accelerated - not soap on a stick, but definitely pretty quick. I use a lot of lard, so my soap usually traces really slowly, but this got real thick in a hurry. I was doing a 2 color swirl. It would be better for single color or uncolored soap."

Traditional Bayberry

Absolutely Perfect

"This is the PERFECT Christmas scent. Great in soaps, scrubs and candles. The scent retains strong in CP soap and does not discolor or cause any issues. I would panic if they stopped making this! I am already ordering for next year to make sure I have it."

Bayberry Fragrance Oil

"This is an awesome fragrance. I use it for sachets, and it is very popular with my customers. Bayberry fragrance oil combines nicely with other ingredients used in making the sachets. Long lasting fragrance as well."

Sandra S. (5/5)

Bayberry fragrance oil

"I purchased this oil few times and love it. Its not to strong but very pleasant scent. If one desires stronger notes,it can be mixed with Balsamic scent,or Fraser Fir 🎄"

Holiday greatness

"Bayberry is a favorite… Mrs Claus cookies I never ordered before but I must say 2 thumbs up … great in my wax melts"

Linda B. (5/5)

Fragrance was good but customer service not helpful

"I placed an order for the Bayberry fragrance and didn't get the discount code until after I went back and saw it in my emails. I wrote to NG to ask if they would make an adjustment in the price. Easy enough to do, however, they wrote back . "Unfortunately, we are not able to adjust, combine, cancel or add on to orders once they are placed, so we are unable to authorize your request at this time. . It's a simple adjustment, yet they wouldn't do it so I won't be purchasing from them in the future."

Wonderful!

"I ordered this for a custom order. Great scent! No acceleration or discoloration."

Q&A

The max usage rate listed is 5% for CP soap, but what would be a good recommended starting usage rate for a medium-strong scent strength?
Hi Steven! The max we recommend is 5% fragrance oil in soap, but many use 2%-3%. Let us know if you have any other questions.
What is the recommended amount for soap making? 3%? Max usage rate is 5%, but would that be way too strong for a soap?
Hello and thank you so much for reaching out to us. We, as a company, do not recommend going above 5% in any bath and body product (even if the IFRA usage is higher) based off of safety and integrity of the final product. How strong you want your bar of soap is entirely up to you. For example, Bayberry is 22.5% for Category 9 (as of 5/8/2023). If you have any other questions, please let us know. Thank you and have a great day! - Mary NG
