Will this achieve a true black color with the pillar of bliss wax? I have used other brands and only achieved a purpleish blackish color. I'm looking for a true deep black. I'm wanting to make black Halloween bat snap bars.
Hi Lisa! It will always be more difficult to achieve true colors in waxes with a higher soy content. Pillar of Bliss is roughly half & half para-soy, so you may not be able to achieve the deep black color you're wanting. Small-batch testing is paramount to determine whether you can achieve your desired results. Using a straight paraffin pillar wax or blending with paraffin would yield more vibrant coloring. You can experiment with colors and mix in a navy or dark blue, for example.
