It's hard to miss soaps that are bright red, and our tomato red FUN Soap Colorant will help you make soaps that stand out from the crowd. This red soap dye is a high-quality product that is safe for use on lips but will not mix in oil-based lip balm or lip gloss because it is dispersed in vegetable glycerin. We disperse our soap colorants in vegetable glycerin to help prevent clumping later on, but you may notice a separation in the bottle between the pigment and glycerin. Just shake the bottle well before use if this happens and everything will work out fine. This tomato red soap dye is stable and non-bleeding, with no carmine or chemical additives. You won't have to worry about it morphing during the saponification process, and it typically performs well in high pH environments. No returns on soap colorants.

Fun Tomato Red Soap Dye

"True red soap Dye! Finally! The only red we use in our handmade scented melt and pour soaps!"

D. J. (5/5)

Bleeds

"I read the reviews which stated that this color did not bleed. This is not true. I made several M&P glycerine soaps yesterday, and the color is already bleeding in most of them. The Lime Green and Kelly Green also bleed. I have an Artisan Fair on Dec. 6, and this couldn't have happened at a worse time. I am very disappointed in this product!"

Takes a lot more than expected

"This red might work better in a light colored soap batter. Because I used Organic Cocoa Butter & Olive Oil in this particular recipe, I was not able to achieve an actual red. I started at. 1 oz & went up to about. 3 oz (maybe more) for 2 pounds of oil. Also, it tends to speckle mixed in with the glycerin so it required more stick blending than I would have preferred. I will continue to use it. But will use it in a lighter colored soap batter."

Eh. Chunky

"I tried this out in my cold process soap today excited to have a nice xmas red for the holidays and it look a very long time to blend in and even after it blended it left little red chunks in it hope my peppermint soap still comes out ok afterwards when i unmold it."

Q&A

HELP PLEASE!!! Is it candle or soap dye used for coloring Reed diffusers ? Thank you
Hello and thank you so much for reaching out to us. We do not recommend coloring reed diffuser base at all. It could potentially clog the reed sticks. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thank you and have a great day! - Mary NG
Would these be safe for making solid perfume? (To apply to skin) Thx!
Hello and thank you so much for reaching out to us. We recommend using a cosmetic safe mica for this particular product. If you have any other questions, please let us know. Thank you so much and have a wonderful day! - Mary NG
