Great soap base

"I use this for hand soap and mix with the fragrance oils from here and it works great! Smooth consistency and great lather."

Don't waste your money

"I made multiple bottles getting ready for a event i decided let me make myself a bottle to try. Within minutes it was water it's watery it suds up nicely but who wants water I've spent hundreds of dollars with this company and it's a ongoing problem I think it's time to spend my money elsewhere yall are so wrong it's a waste of time, energy, and money."

Watery once fragrance added

"Loved the consistency out the bottle. Checked the website for maximum additives to be sure before I started, found no guidance, so I went ahead started with 1% fragrance to be sure, thinking it must can handle 1% fragrance. While it scented the product nicely, within an hour or two of sitting, water, literally as thin as water, and one of the bottles even seperated. will have to keep for personal use or use unscented. Definitely not fit for adding fragrance and using as a product. Very disappointed with this product as I had high hopes for this for the holiday season."

Well beyond the competition

"Having to add 4lbs of xanthum gum slurry per gallon for it to STILL be too runny is insane. The formula needs to be pulled from the shelves and improved upon. Companies like Essentials by Catalina offer the same stuff with less hassle - just add color, fragrance and mix. Done. So disappointed. I wrote them a lengthly letter of feedback with zero response or refund."

Gel and Hand Soap

"I was buying Crafty Choice and was not able to get it and losing customers. I make Shower Gel and Hand Soap with the Liquid Soap Base. I now have to redo how I make this and redoing how I make these items. I did see recipes on your site on how to make these work with the fragrance oils I buy from you. Working on it. Thanks for helping me out!"

Great price!

"Listen this is a great base for the price. It is great for those just starting out and not ready to formulate their own shower gel."

Its Wonderful!

"I just tried out this out as a shampoo, I added some Argan Oil, Jojoba Oil, Honeyquat & Liquid Silk. OMG I just love it. . . Everything incorporated well, after the fragrance I needed a bit of thickener but not much. Very easy to work with. . . I will continue to purchase. . ."

Pros and cons

"Pro: feels great on skin, rinses nicely, great lather, was a surprisingly nice shampoo, fantastic price. Cons: only one- it thinned out like water with a tiny amount of my favorite fo. I will say that even though it thinned way out, it still had great foaming action. I tried a small amount scented with essential oils- lavender and patchouli- and it stayed nice and thick. I gave it 4 stars simply because it thinned out the way it did. I will most likely buy this again."

Great base!

"First let me say, YES it does thin out but it depends on the fragrance oil! So for the most part no matter what amount of fragrance oil you add to this base it will thin out. I have also notice if you let it sit for a day or two it will thicken up again (plus the cloudiness tends to decrease. ) So give it some time and your soap base might thicken back up! Otherwise, holds fragrance really nicely the scent retention is great, foams wonderfully and it's fairly gentle on the skin!"

Tricky to work with at first, but worth the effort

"This bath gel is wonderful. I had some trouble with it at first trying to find the right ratio of gel to fragrance and actually wasted half of the bottle trying to get it to work for me, but I finally found the perfect ratio. I find that most, if not all, of the fragrances I have tried work best at a usage rate of 1%. At 1% the fragrance is strong enough to smell it without being overpowering and doesn't thin it out much. Anything over 1% had to be thickened up with liquid crothix for it to be usable. For those of you having trouble with this base, try your fragrances at 1% and see how you like it."

Q&A

Why are yall still selling this product when it turns into water when fragrance is added?
Hello! Please reach out to our Customer Care team so they can assist with any questions or concerns: info@naturesgardencandles.com
Hello. I just made some bubble bath following the recipe and turned out great. I would like more bubbles though. I'm looking for really thick bubble layer kids can pick up and play with, make bubble beards and mohawks and whatnot. Following the instructions gave me a little more than a foamy layer on top. How can I make it thick and wild?
Hello! You can try adding glycerin to the base; about 3 tsp for every 8 oz of base.
What are the tricks to make the bath gel base less runny after adding scent? Thanks.
Hello! You can find helpful information in this recipe for thickening this gel: https://www.naturesgardencandles.com/discover-learn/recipes/body-wash-recipe
What is the PH level?
Hello and thank you so much for reaching out to us. The Ritzy Bath Gel has a PH of 6.5 - 6.9. Let us know if you have any additional questions. Thank you and have a fantastic day! - Mary NG
