Victorian rose

"I'm not a fan of the rose scent in anything but I had a customer who requested a batch of rose soap. I will say I was pleasantly surprised because I halfway expected acceleration or ricing with a floral oil. I soap at 90 degrees and added the scent last figuring I would have to work quickly. It worked beautifully! No ricing no acceleration."

Review of Victorian Rose Fragrance Oil

"I added a small amount of Rose Tuberose to the bottle to make it smell like the old fashion roses I remember. It is now heavenly."

I will recommend this product.

"I love this scent. I used it in my whipped soaps and whipped sugar scrubs, the whole bathroom smells like freshly cut roses. I will definitely buy it again."

Not my favorite

"Very strong rose scent a little bit overpowering. I'm not sure I will use it or not unless I have customers wanting more floral scented bath and body products. I wouldn't recommend this."

Wonderful rose that behaves in CP soap!

"I bought the sample size just for a try. I use a high tallow recipe and most florals will accelerate like no tomorrow. I was pleasantly surprised when this soaped like a dream! Of course, I had already mixed my colors and added the fragrance at the last minute, just stirring in with the spatula. I made a 2-tone pink rose soap & it came out wonderfully! I'm back for the bigger bottle today, LOL."

Strong Musk Scent

"I liked this scent OOB, but unfortunately the top notes of rose seemed to disappear when added to CP soap, leaving only a very strong musk. I didn't like it, as it doesn't smell like rose to me, but my husband did like the scent. FO caused soap to accelerate more than I like."

Work Quickly!

"I made this soap (CP) on Sunday, and I'm still unsure if I like the fragrance 3 days later. I will decide in a couple weeks if it's a keeper, or not. I will say that I was able to mix in the fragrance oil well, and pour it into the mold, but it almost immediately seized right after that. I had to work very quickly to add the flower and leaf embeds I made for the top of the soap bars, and the soap hardened so fast, that one of the embeds fell off the next day. My experience is that there is no time to divide the batter to color or do any swirls."

Not what I'd hoped for at all

"Based on other reviews, I was hopeful that this would be a good rose scent. But my deliberately gelled batch of goat milk soap using Victorian Rose immediately developed an offensive odor that didn't remotely resemble roses; more like chemicals and urine. Even after having the bars set out to dry for a couple of weeks now, the scent has faded, yet still smells bad to me. Certainly not a rose scent. I've used a few dozen different FOs from NG in my same basic soap recipe with no issues until now. Guess I'm tossing the rest of the bottle, and my hunt for a good rose continues."

Light but good

"This FO is light and wonderful when the product is finish. It is a very nice scent when you want to light a candle but do not want a powerful scent."

Ash M. (5/5)

Not really good

"From the smell, I 'm disappointed. Unfortunately, he just smells intrusive and not as fresh cut Roen - a pity!"
