Step 1

1. Clean and sanitize your work area and all of your packaging materials. It is suggested that you wear gloves, protective clothing, a face mask, safety glasses, and a hair net while preparing this recipe.

Step 2

2. This kit is not recommended for beginner soap makers. If you have not made soap before it is imperative that you become familiar with basic cold process soap making and soap making safety before attempting this recipe.

Step 3

3. 1. Prepare your lye solution. Weigh out 68 grams distilled water. To the same bowl, slowly add 32 grams of lye. Stir until the water is no longer cloudy. Note: Always add your lye to your water, never the other way around. Allow it to come to room temperature.

Step 4

4. 2. Weigh out and melt your soaping oils. You will need 45 grams Sunflower Oil, 45 grams Sweet Almond Oil, 34 grams Coconut Oil 76, 34 grams Palm Oil, 45 grams Shea Butter, and 23 grams Olive Oil.

Step 5

5. 3. To the bowl containing the soaping oils, add 4 grams Titanium Dioxide and 4 grams Diamond Dust. Stir until smooth.

Step 6

6. 4. Add your lye solution to the bowl containing the soaping oils. Stick blend to emulsify.

Step 7

7. 5. Add 11 grams of the Clouds in the Sky Fragrance Oil. Blend.

Step 8

8. 6. At trace, pour the soap batter in the mold. Tap the mold on your countertop to remove any air bubbles.

Step 9

9. 7. For the next portion of the recipe, we used a dancing funnel technique. Prepare your lye solution. Weigh out 175 grams water. To the water, slowly stir in 81 grams lye. Note: Always add your lye to your water, never the other way around. Allow it to come to room temperature.

Step 10

10. 8. Weigh out and melt your soaping oils. You will need 116 grams Sunflower Oil, 116 grams Sweet Almond Oil, 116 grams Shea Butter, 87 grams Coconut Oil 76, 87 grams Palm Oil, and 58 grams Olive Oil Pomace. Also, allow them to come to room temperature.

Step 11

11. 9. While you are waiting for everything to come to temperature, prepare your colorants. You will need three small mixing bowls. In the first bowl, add 2 grams of the Blissful Blue along with a small amount of your soaping oils. Stir until smooth. In the second bowl, add 6 grams of titanium dioxide and 6 grams of the Diamond Dust. To the same bowl, add a small amount of your soaping oils and stir until smooth. To the third bowl, add 1 gram of the Blissful Blue and 4 grams of the Diamond Dust along with a small amount of your soaping oils. Again, stir until smooth. Set these aside for now.

Step 12

12. 10. When both your soaping oils and lye solution are at room temperature, combine them. Use a stick blender to emulsify.

Step 13

13. 11. Add 29 grams of the Clouds in the Sky Fragrance Oil and stir.

Step 14

14. 12. Divide your batter. You will need two additional bowls. To each of these bowls add about 115 grams of your soap batter. Then, add the light blue colorant to one bowl and the darker blue colorant to the second bowl. Stir the contents of each bowl to blend each colorant. Finally, add the titanium dioxide mixture to the uncolored portion of soap batter. Stir.

Step 15

15. 13. You will need three squeeze bottles. Fill your first bottle with the white soap batter. Fill the second bottle with the light blue soap batter. Fill the last bottle with the dark blue soap batter. Place the lids on the bottles.

Step 16

16. 14. Now, place your soap mold in front of you. Place dots of color throughout the mold. Continue layering the dots directly on top of each other, doing this until you have used all of your soap batter.

Step 17

17. 15. Use a wooden skewer or toothpick to swirl the top of the soap.

Step 18

18. 16. After about 24 hours, remove the soap from the mold and cut the soap.

Step 19

19. 17. Allow your soap to cure for 4-6 weeks before using.
