"Loving it!"
"i ordered 20lbs and my blocks came in very dry i was able to make bars but very difficult and it did film up before all the chunks melted i tried twice cutting in tiny bits and still had a hard time its a very dry tight bar when done just hard to get to a liquid with out turning goopy"
"I just wasn't so crazy about this one."
"Used this and made a very nice Yoni soap."
"I had the hardest time working with this base. I usually will melt any M & P base in the microwave on low heat, 15-30 s bursts and I could never get this base to achieve a smooth melt. It got so hot but remained clumpy. Will not purchase again."
"This base has a nice lather and makes a hard bar. I add a bit of shea butter base to it for an extra moisture boost. When I first used it years ago it was hard to work with as others have said but I have learned if you take your time and melt on low heat or use a crock pot to melt this base works wonderfully. It sets up quickly but is NOT hard to work with at the right temperature. I have been selling it for years in soap bars and customers keep requesting it!"
"I purchased this based on the mostly good reviews. It is slimy and did not melt completely in the microwave. I switched to the double boiler and had better luck but it still didn't melt completely. I gave it four stars because it does take scent well and the bars are really hard. It doesn't lather a lot but it is a creamy lather. That was just the first batch and first try using it. I'm going to use the remainder and see if I get better results melting it. It sets up VERY fast."
"This was my first time using this base. I heated it using a modified double boiler to control the heat better. A skin kept forming on the melted portion, so I kept stirring and turned the heat up some more. Based upon other reviewers I moved fast once it was off the heat and added my FO. While pouring it started getting clumpy, so what will be the bottom of the soap is not quite as smooth as I would've preferred, however, this base makes a nice soap. Next time I'll try a little bit higher heat."
"I gave this 3 stars because the soap is creamy, hardened well and held scent really well. However, it was a challenge to work with. I had to keep reheating and skin formed on top even when it re-heated. Stirring the skin only added clumps and it didn't melt easily in microwave. When I stirred and thought it was melted, as I poured clumps and pieces of unmelted soap were present. I had to heat this to a high temp of about 140-150 to throughly melt for time for a smooth pour and had to really fast as skin formed in a matter of seconds. At such a high temp I couldn't swirl, only make solid color bars. Will not purchase the yogurt again. To be fair I've tried this at least 4 times and the same every time. If you do purchase 2lbs to see if it works for you. Didn't for me."
