Lavender Cold Process Soap Recipe

9. 190 grams of Lye

10. 245 grams of Avocado Oil

11. 191 grams of Safflower Oil

12. 95 grams of Castor Oil

13. 340 grams of Coconut Oil 76

14. 381 grams of Mango Butter

15. 109 grams of Meadowfoam Seed Oil

16. 54 grams of Lavender Martini Fragrance Oil

17. 32 grams of Sodium Lactate

18. 1 gram of Lavender Flowers Whole

19. Soap Colorant Weights:

20. 15 grams of Titanium Dioxide

21. 4 grams of FUN Soap Colorant- Deep Purple (for the light shade of purple)

22. 6 grams of FUN Soap Colorant- Deep Purple ( for the medium shade of purple)

23. 20 grams of FUN Soap Colorant- Deep Purple (for the dark shade of purple)

24. Prep your work area and put on your safety gear. Next, make your lye solution. Finally, weigh out and melt the soaping oils and butters. Once the soaping oils are melted, separate out 25 grams and place it in one of your mixing bowls. Then, add the 15 grams of titanium dioxide to the oils. Stir this mixture together until it does not have any clumps. Then, set aside.

25. When the lye solution has cooled, add and stir in the sodium lactate. Combine the soaping oils and the lye when the temperatures are right. Then, stick blend for emulsion. Next, add the fragrance oil, and once again, stick blend to incorporate.

26. To one of the empty bowls, add the titanium dioxide and 800 grams of the soap batter. Divide the remaining soap batter equally between the remaining 3 bowls. Add 4 grams of the Deep Purple FUN Soap Colorant to one of the bowls (this will be the light purple shade). Then, to the next bowl, add the 6 grams FUN Soap Colorant Deep Purple (this will be the medium shade). To the last bowl add the 20 grams of FUN Soap Colorant Deep Purple (this will be the dark shade). Starting with the white bowl, stick blend the batter to incorporate the color. Then, stick blend the contents of each bowl starting with the lightest color, moving to the darkest color.

27. Get Ready to Move! Starting with the medium shade of purple batter drop several "plops" in a clockwise like manner in the light purple soap batter bowl. Also, do the same with about 200 grams of the white batter, the remaining white batter will be used to top the soap. Repeat this process with the darker shade until all of the batter is gone, aiming for different areas in the "clock ". Now, drag the spatula in a large circular pattern once through the bowl. When finished, directly pick up the spatula.

28. Next, carefully and slowly pour the soap batter into the mold. You will want to move the batter the entire length of the mold while pouring. Next, use a mixing spoon to hand whip the white soap. This will fluff it up.

29. When the purple soap that is in the mold has set up enough, take the white soap and heap it on top. Finally, sprinkle the soap with the lavender flowers.

30. After 24 hours, remove the soap from the mold. Then, with a knife, slice the bars. Allow them to further cure before using.
