Step 12

12. Clean and sanitize your work area and all of your packaging materials. It is suggested that you wear gloves, protective clothing, and a hair net while preparing this recipe.

Step 13

13. Step 1: First, prepare the cupcake bases. Weigh out and melt 204 grams of the Pillar of Bliss Candle Wax. Melt the wax using a double boiler. Obtain a 195F temperature.

Step 14

14. Step 2: Once 195F is reached add 3 drops of the red liquid candle dye and 1 drop of the black liquid candle dye and stir to blend the colorant. Then, allow the temperature to drop to 180F and add 20 grams of the Red Velvet Cake Fragrance Oil. Stir well to incorporate the fragrance.

Step 15

15. Step 3: When the temperature drops to 175F pour the wax into each cavity of the silicone mini muffin mold. Allow the wax to set up completely.

Step 16

16. Step 4: Next, prepare the chocolate embeds. Weigh out and melt 6 grams of the Pillar of Bliss Candle Wax. Add one drop of brown liquid candle dye and one drop of the black liquid candle dye. Stir. Pour the wax into six cavities of the mini waffle mold. Allow these to set up before removing them from the mold. Use a knife to cut each embed in half.

Step 17

17. Step 5: Prepare the whipped candle wax. Weigh out and melt 300 grams of the Joy Wax. Once melted, allow the temperature to drop to 170-175F and add 30 grams of the Red Velvet Cake Fragrance Oil. Stir well. Pour the wax into a mixing bowl. Allow the wax to begin cooling. As the wax is cooling use the hand mixer to whip the wax until it is in a thin whipped frosting consistency.

Step 18

18. Step 6: Fill the decorating bag with the whipped wax. Pipe the wax onto the top of each cupcake base. We used a star decorating tip.

Step 19

19. Step 7: Place one chocolate embeds on top of each wax melt. You want to press it slightly into the whipped topping of the melts so that it stays in place.

Step 20

20. Step 8: Prepare the red velvet crumble. For this step, you will need a tablespoon of the Pillar of Bliss Candle Wax. Place it in a Ziploc bag. To the bag, also add one drop of the red liquid colorant and use a toothpick to add a small amount of black liquid candle dye.

Step 21

21. Step 9: Seal the bag. Shake and kneed the bag to fully blend the colorants with the wax. Use a spoon to place crumbles over each cupcake.

Step 22

22. Step 10: Remove the wax melts from the mold and allow them to cure.

Step 23

23. We hope you enjoy your Red Velvet Cupcake Wax Tarts!
