Wintery Candy Apple Candle Recipe

Step 1

Prepare your embeds. Weigh out and melt 32 grams of the Pillar of Bliss Candle Wax to 195F. Also add 3 drops of the Nature Friendly Liquid Candle Dye. Stir. When the temperature drops to 175F, pour the wax into two cavities of the apple mold. Once set up, remove the apples from the mold. We will use these in a later step.

Step 2

Now, prepare the granulated wax. Weigh out 300 grams of the Pillar of Bliss Candle Wax. Place the wax in a Ziploc bag. Also, add 10 drops of the red liquid candle dye and 30 grams of the Wintery Candy Apple Fragrance Oil. Seal the bag. Shake and kneed the bag to blend its contents.

Step 3

Prepare your jar. Place your wicks in your jar adhering them with hot glue, spaced evenly apart. We used two HTP-52 wicks. However, the wick size will be determined by the diameter of the opening of your jar. Refer to the

Using a spoon, scoop the red wax into the jar. As you are filling, press it down with the spoon to make sure it is packed in tightly.

Step 5

Next, prepare the whipped wax. Weigh out and melt 225 grams of the Joy Wax. Once melted, allow the temperature to drop to 175F. Add 22 grams of the Wintery Candy Apple Fragrance Oil. Stir well to incorporate the fragrance.

Step 6

Since you will be whipping the wax, it needs to cool. Pour it into a mixing bowl to allow it to cool faster. While you are waiting get your hand mixer ready. You will know the wax is ready when a ring of wax begins forming on the edges of the bowl. At this time, whip the wax with the hand mixer until it reaches a whipped frosting consistency.

Step 7

Place the wax in the candle jar. Remember to keep your wicks straight and centered as your are filling the jar. Create peaks in the wax to give it a whipped frosting consistency. Place two apple embeds on top of the candle.

Step 8

Once your candle has set up, allow it to cure. Then, simply trim the wicks to before burning.
