Valentine's Chunky Candle

Prepare 6 jars. Use a wick sticker to adhere a wick to the center of each candle jar.

Create the pink cubes. Weigh out and melt 440 grams of Pillar of Bliss to 195F.

Add 1 drop of the Nature Friendly Red Liquid Candle Dye.  Stir.

 Let the temperature drop to 185F and add 44 grams of the Gal Goal’s Fragrance Oil.   Stir.

When the temperature drops to about 140F, pour the wax into 12-15 cavities of the clamshell molds.  When filling the mold, do not fill the entire clamshell.  You want to create cubes, so fill each cavity about ¾ full.

Create the red cubes. Weigh out and melt 440 grams of Pillar of Bliss to 195F.

Create the red cubes. Weigh out and melt 440 grams of Pillar of Bliss to 195F.

Let the temperature drop to 185F and add 44 grams of the Gal Goal’s Fragrance Oil.   Stir.

When the temperature drops to about 140F, pour the wax into about 15 cavities of the clamshell molds.  When filling the mold, do not fill the entire clamshell.  You want to create cubes, so fill each cavity about ¾ full.

Allow both the pink and red cubes to set up before removing them from the mold.

Prepare the white wax. Weigh out and melt 440 grams of Joy Wax to 200F.

Let the temperature drop to 185F and add 44 grams of the Gal Goals Fragrance Oil. Stir.

Pour the wax into 12-15 cavities of the clamshell molds.  When filling the mold, do not fill the entire clamshell. You want to create cubes, so fill each cavity about ¾ full.

Create the red cubes. Weigh out and melt 440 grams of Joy Wax to 200F.

Add 1 drop of the Nature Friendly Red Liquid Candle Dye.  Stir. 

Let the temperature drop to 185F and add 44 grams of the Gal Goal’s Fragrance Oil.   Stir.

While you are waiting for your wax to cool to about 150F, prepare your jars.

Place the red and pink cubes in the jar, saving some to add to the top after you pour your wax. Keep the wicks centered as you are adding the cubes.

At about 150F, pour the wax into each jar. Place some cubes on top so that they stick out of the wax slightly but are still able to add a lid.

Center the wick. Allow the candles to set up before trimming the wicks.  Place a lid on each candle and allow to cure for about 48 hours.
